*OFFER THANKS IN THE MIDST OF VINEGAR

Beloved ones, are you smelling vinegar in your lives? Are you saying, “What are we here for? Life has turned sour!” I have a testimony for you. When I was dying on the cross, I was given vinegar to drink, immediately afterwards I said, “It is finished!” and then I died for you. I died that you might not think of your lives as vinegar but that you would be filled with joy and praise as a thank offering for receiving eternal life.

When you were born again, you partook of My sufferings and took up your own cross to follow Me. I never said it would be easy, but I do say to you that anything you suffer in this life will be a seven fold return in blessings in eternity. When you internalize what I have just told you, your lives will not smell like vinegar, but they will smell like the rain of My glory in all its majesty. You will be like a city whose ears are healed. You will know within your heart of heart that there is no place in your life beyond My strength. There are no boundaries to My love and mercy for you. There are no problems I cannot solve. You have no need that is beyond My scope to fulfill. Yield your will to mine, loved one and allow Me to complete in you the full stature of Myself.

“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” (Ephesians 4:13 KJV)

“While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could deliver him out of death. And God heard his prayers because of his reverence for God. So even though Jesus was God's Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.” (Hebrews 5:7-9 NLT)

“This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps. He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds! Once you were wandering like lost sheep. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:21-25 NLT)

“Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (John 19:29-30 KJV)
